Massey Energy - Raymond Safety Program

At Massey Energy, Safety is Job Number One.  That’s why Massey is leading the way with a unique safety program to encourage Massey Members to work safely and efficiently.  Massey’s Raymond Safety Program is an incentive-based safety awareness program that rewards Massey Members for working safely and not missing shifts.

Members receive points based on their individual, team, and mine site performances.  Then, Members can redeem their points for merchandise including radios, toys, cameras, televisions, cruises, and vacations.  In addition, Members qualify for quarterly and annual prizes that include gift certificates and brand new Chevrolet trucks.

The grand prize is the Raymond A. Bradbury Safety Award that is awarded to the Resource Group with the best safety performance for the year.  The winning mine possesses the bronze Raymond statue for a period of one year.   The Bradbury Award is the most coveted and prestigious award within Massey Energy.
